After this date objections can be made to the Office of the School’s Adjudicator. For further information on how to make an objection please visit their website http://www.education.gov.uk/schoolsadjudicator/ or phone the office on 01325 735303.
Transferring School – September 2018 – Year 7 Admissions
The closing date for on-time applications for a school place in September 2018 is 31 October 2017. Applications made after this date will be classed as late and you will need to complete a paper application form which you can download from Somerset County Council’s website or contact Somerset Direct on 0300 123 2224 if you require one to be posted to you. Outcomes for applications received between 1 November 2017 and 23 March 2018 will aim to be sent out by Somerset County Council on 4 May 2017. After this date, applications will be processed in strict date order of receipt.
Copies of the booklet ‘Secondary Admissions in 2018 - A Guide for Parents’ can be downloaded from www.somerset.gov.uk/admissions. Parents are advised to read this booklet before applying for a place.
